Tunnel floor

Like the metal versions, plastic tunnel bases are available with tunnels arranged lengthwise or crosswise to the direction of flow.

The trays with tunnels transverse to the direction of flow can be used for very low liquid loads. They are often used in drying columns and for acid recovery. Tunnel trays with tunnels along the direction of flow, on the other hand, are preferably suitable for use with medium to very high liquid loads.

Deentrainment-Devices

Alle Ausführungen der Tunnelböden können auch mit Deentrainment-Devices ausgerüstet werden. Mit dem Einsatz dieser zusätzlichen Elemente unterhalb der Bodenplatten wird der Anteil der mitgerissenen Flüssigkeit verringert.

Tunnel hoods

The slot shape and number of slots in the elongated tunnel hoods are variable, as with the bell bottoms, and are selected according to the intended application. For floors with tunnels at right angles to the direction of flow, angled slots are preferably used.
